Curve sent a top team of indoor players to the Mix and Mingle tournament staged at Sheffield’s Ponds Forge Arena in January.
Not only did the Curve team win best-dressed at the party on Saturday night (see above!), the team also took home the prestigious spirit prize as voted by the other teams at the tournament.

The fourth edition of the Clissold Cup hat tournament was held in Clissold Park on the evening of Wednesday, Aug 31.
This year the hat tournament featured four teams and spirits were high among the Dalston Hipsters, Castle Stormers, Brownswood Anonymous and Harringay Ladders as they gathered to compete for the coveted inflatable trophy.

Curve returned to the beautiful Croatian Island of Rab for the second year running for the Spinning in Paradise beach tournament.
Curve beat defending champions Zagreb in pool play but narrowly missed out on the championship bracket due to some close losses in other games. Two wins over the Newcastle team meant the team finished fifth.

Curve made a return trip to the beautiful sandy beach at Le Pouliguen on the Brittany coast, France, for a third consecutive year inMay.
Having won the spirit prize at the tournament last year the team once again received great scores from all their opponents and came a close second this year while finishing 22nd overall in the tournament.

During October, Curve Ultimate ran a series of sessions aimed at developing fundamental skills in players across all ability levels. These are continuing throughout November and December, and are welocome to all players. Previous sessions have covered throwing and cutting, and the next session is a focus on downfield marking. The 2015 Open Tour season was the most succesful in the the history of the club, with the two teams finishing 18th and 45th overall respectively. Curve Mixed had the second most succesful season in the club’s history, finishing 18th overall in the Mixed Tour standings. Lead by David Ford and Sahil Patel, the squad strong fielded competitive teams across all three weekends and battled their way through gale-force winds, blistering sunshine, and underwheleming cloudy days to make the Curve community proud. Let’s hope for future succeses in the 2015/16 season!
Curve’s women’s team took third place at SICKO indoor tournament in Burgess Hill earlier in October.
Hosted by Brighton Ultimate, the two-day indoor tournament involved women’s, open and beginner mixed divisions. Vurve, the brainchild of Curve’s women’s captain Laura ‘Nel’ Payne, was seeded 4th place out of 10 teams. On 6th, 7th and 8th of June, some of the Curve team went out to France to compete in some epic beach Ultimate. The tournament: ‘Yes But Nau’ was set in the lovely seaside town of Le Pouliguen.
