Goaltimate

Goaltimate, “Goalty” for short, is a fast-paced, half-court version of ultimate frisbee. Goalty is one of the most inclusive and accessible versions of ultimate frisbee, with fewer players on a small pitch and plenty of time on the disc.

Intro to Goalty

How Goalty is different from ultimate

  • Small-sided games: usually 4v4 (sometimes 3v3)
  • The game starts with a pull from the endzone. If the pull hits the hoop, the throwing team keeps possession
  • Stall count is 5, from anywhere on the pitch
  • Double-, triple- and even quadruple-teams are allowed
  • To score, throw the disc through the hoop and catch it inside the cones
  • Clear the disc by catching it in the endzone after every goal or turnover
  • Double points for endzone throws that go through the hoop and are caught inside the cones
  • We usually play first team to 5 points
