The Details
- The league runs 27th May to 6th August 2026 on Wednesday and Thursday evenings. Games start at 7pm. First to 15 with a soft cap at 90 minutes.
- Yes, we’ve added a week: more ultimate!
- The tournament is a Hat League – if you want to play, fill in the signup form, pay your entry fee and you’ll be allocated to a team. You’ll play with that team for the duration of the league.
- Each team plays one match per week (you may have a bye in one week).
- The format is 7v7, Loose Mixed. Captains agree on a gender ratio before each game based on the players available.
- Sign up by 15th May for £35. Players can sign up after teams have been made, but this will incur a penalty charge (+£15), as it really makes team balancing difficult and messes up our finances!
- We have a concession rate for players who are unwaged and/or would not be able to play otherwise.
- All participants will receive a player gift. For players who are signing up after the tournament has started, we can’t guarantee that there will be enough of the official 2026 gifts to go around, but if there aren’t then we have alternatives for you :).
- We play on the Western side of Clissold Park – aim for https://w3w.co/flies.fancy.forced. The nearest stations are Manor House, Canonbury, Finsbury Park and Stoke Newington.
- All players need to have basic UKU membership to take part – this is for our insurance. This costs £11.50 for the whole year, details: https://ukultimate.com/membership.
FAQ
A: Yes! Teams will be balanced so that they each have a range of experiences on them. By playing with the same group of players each week you’ll have an opportunity to learn and practice with them in a fun environment.
A: Yes! As with the above question teams will feature players with a range of experience. If last year was anything to go by, the standard of play should be pretty good. Our aim is that this should be a lot of fun for everyone.
A: Yes! Each team will be assigned players on the assumption that not everyone on the team will make it to every week. Help the organisers out by letting us know approximately how many of the matches you can make on the signup form.
A: Yes! You can express which nights work best for you on the signup form. We can’t promise that all your games will be on your preferred weeknight, but we will do our best to organise the schedule so that everyone gets more than 50% of their games on their preferred night.
A: Unfortunately we can’t guarantee this – trying to create balanced teams is really hard! But you can make it more likely by putting the same preferred day on the signup form.
A: Fill our our guests subs form and we’ll see what we can do.
