COVID-19 Training Update

Following the latest advice from the UKU and government regarding COVID-19 (Update Statement re Coronavirus (COVID-19) 17th March 2020),  we’re going to have to stop running training sessions and pickup until further notice. This will also probably mean that a lot of the upcoming tournaments and socials that we’ve had planned will need to be cancelled. It’s a shame to have to stop doing activities that we all enjoy, but somethings are bigger than Ultimate.

Never fear though! We all still need to be getting our exercise and getting outside. Throwing a disc around is a good way of doing that, and you only need two people to do it. Feel free to use our group Curve Ultimate  or the Curve Throwing Facebook groups (Curve Throwing North: https://www.facebook.com/groups/305610196307042/, Curve Throwing East: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1506235239627911/) to find throwing partners if you need them.

Obviously if you are going to do this, please make sure that you’re staying safe and taking appropriate precautions not to spread infection when doing so. Our suggestion would be to try to find a place to play that does not require public transport to get to, and to bring soap or hand sanitiser with you to keep your hands clean.

We hope everyone can stay safe and healthy in these difficult times. As soon as we’re able to, we’ll start organising pickup and training again.
